PRICING OF OUR DENTAL TREATMENTS
PRICING OF NHS DENTAL CARE
Dental care can be expensive, but with the NHS, you can access affordable dental treatment. The NHS charges three different fees depending on the type of treatment needed, ranging from emergency care to more complex treatments such as crowns, dentures and bridges. It is important to remember that the cost of your dental care can vary depending on the treatment you need. Make sure to talk to your dentist about your treatment plan and the costs involved so that you can make an informed decision.
EMERGENCY DENTAL TREATMENT: £18.50
Emergency dental treatment costs £18.50 and covers pain relief, temporary fillings, X-rays, and a range of other treatments related to infections, trauma, and the adjustment and alteration of dentures or orthodontic appliances.
BAND 1 DENTAL TREATMENT: £18.50
Band 1, at £18.50, covers an examination, diagnosis (including X-rays), advice on preventing future problems, a scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventative care such as the application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant. This charge also covers marginal corrections of fillings, moulds of teeth, orthodontic assessments, colou​red photographs and more.
BAND 2 DENTAL TREATMENT: £50.50
Band 2 is slightly more expensive​ at £50.50 and includes all of the treatments covered by Band 1, as well as fillings, root canal work, and the removal of teeth.
BAND 3 DENTAL TREATMENT: £219
For the most complex dental treatments, you will need to pay Band 3 charges which cost £219. This covers all of the treatments included in the first two bands, as well as crowns, dentures, bridges and other laboratory work.
